Dr. Sarah Boston
Veterinary Surgical Oncologist
About me
Dr. Sarah Boston graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1996. She completed a rotating internship at the University of Guelph the following year. She then returned to Western Canada for three years of general practice before attending the University of Guelph for a residency and DVSc in small animal surgery. She became board-certified with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2004. Sarah then completed a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology in 2005. She is an ACVS Founding Fellow of both Surgical Oncology and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Sarah was on faculty at the University of Guelph for five years before moving south to the University of Florida, where she was an Associate Professor of Surgical Oncology for five years. She was a tenured faculty at both institutions. Sarah returned to Canada and started working as a surgical oncologist for VCA Canada in 2018. She is Adjunct Faculty at the University of Guelph. As she works out the balance between working as a veterinary surgical oncologist and her creative pursuits, she is a locum surgeon based in the Greater Toronto Area. Sarah is past president of the Veterinary Society of Surgical Oncology and has authored numerous journal articles and textbook chapters on surgical oncology.
